LabHQ Q2 2026 Update: Introducing Continuous Delivery, Tighter Traceability, and Advanced Reporting
Know Exactly Where Every Sample Is
LabHQ tracks each sample from submission through to final approval. With this update, samples can now carry an assigned storage location as part of that record. Instead of relying on memory, sticky notes, or a whiteboard, LabHQ tells you exactly which freezer, shelf, or rack a sample is sitting in.

Accurate, Reliable Certificates of Analysis
LabHQ generates certificates and reports directly from your secure lab data, using templates you can tailor to your own layout. We have introduced two new updates to strengthen this process:
- Report template preview - check your formatting and layout before a certificate goes live to eliminate printing errors.
- More label tokens - labels can now pull in client, due date, and location, giving labs more flexibility to capture the data points that matter most.

Bulk Certificate Downloads for Clients
We know how important it is to keep clients informed without creating extra admin work. Through the LabHQ External User Portal, you can give clients direct visibility into their job status and results, eliminating the need to manage individual user logins for them.
Clients can now download all sample certificates for a job in a single action, instead of one at a time. This saves time when pulling documentation for an audit or reviewing a completed job.

Lock Records Once They're Approved
To help you maintain total data integrity, approved records can now be permanently locked. Once your team completes and approves a piece of work, it is locked against future edits - giving you a clean, defensible record for every approval. This setting is configurable, so regulated labs can turn it on for a locked, audit-ready record, while other teams can leave it off for more flexibility.

Org-Level Timezone Settings
You can now set a single, organization-wide timezone. This keeps timestamps consistent for labs working internationally.
Access New Features as Soon as They're Released
Starting with this update, LabHQ is moving to a continuous delivery model by default. This means we will make new features and improvements available to you as soon as they are fully built and rigorously tested. You get immediate access to software updates and new features instead of waiting for a quarterly release cycle.
We understand that many labs operate under strict change control protocols. If that is true for your team, the Quarterly Release option remains fully supported. You can turn this on in your Admin Settings to keep new functionality disabled until your next scheduled release date, giving your team a fixed, predictable window to review and validate changes.
